Brooke Walrath, MA

Brooke Walrath has been an educator in Utah for close to a decade. She has a BA in Spanish Education and an MA in Spanish, with a focus on Latin American literature. It is an honor for her to serve on the board of Utah Infertility Resource Center.

 

After a few frustrating years facing infertility with little more than blogs and WebMD for support, Brooke finally sought out a reproductive endocrinologist and an in-person support group. After a few appointments with the doctor, she learned that she and her husband were facing both male and female factor infertility. She has four IVF cycles and a miscarriage under her belt.

 

Brooke likes to spend her time reading, studying, or going out with her husband, usually to see a movie or explore downtown Salt Lake City. She loves working with UIRC to educate others about their family building options and advocate at the state and federal levels for legislation that helps ease the burden of infertility. Infertility is and has been the most isolating incident of her life and she believes that no one deserves to feel alone in it.
